rootmote is a bring-your-own-server product. The app talks to your servers over SSH connections you configure, using keys stored on your device. Your server data (metrics, containers, files, transcripts) stays on your servers and your phone.

This website is static and sets no third-party analytics or tracking cookies.

Push notifications are delivered through the project's relay (rootmote-notify), which holds device push tokens and forwards alert payloads from your agents to your device. The relay does not receive your SSH keys or server credentials.

AI coding sessions run CLIs (Claude Code, Codex) on your own server under accounts you authenticate there. Their traffic is governed by the respective providers' terms, not by us.
