rootmote is a bring-your-own-server product. The app talks to your servers over SSH connections you configure, using keys stored on your device. Raw incident evidence such as logs and service output is fetched from the agent to your phone over the SSH and loopback path. The relay stores only redacted diagnosis summaries and redacted lifecycle events needed for sync and notifications.

This website is static and sets no third-party analytics or tracking cookies.

Push notifications are delivered through the project's relay (rootmote-notify), which holds device push tokens and forwards redacted alert payloads from your agents to your device. The relay does not receive your SSH keys, server credentials, or raw evidence. If you enable AI diagnosis, the selected AI provider receives the diagnostic context needed for that assessment. Provider processing is governed by that provider's terms and controls; AI diagnosis is optional.
